The Simco-Ion Model 775 PVS Fieldmeter is a compact and multifunctional electrostatic measurement system designed for precise verification of ionization performance and static charge levels in controlled environments. As a handheld alternative to a charged plate monitor, it combines a non-contact fieldmeter, a detachable charge plate, and a dedicated charger into a single, portable solution for comprehensive ESD analysis.Utilizing a chopper-stabilized sensing circuit, the instrument delivers reliable and repeatable measurements over a range of ±19.99 kV at a defined distance of 2.5 cm, with an accuracy of ±5%. Integrated distance ranging lights ensure consistent positioning, while the digital display provides clear, real-time readings even in ionized environments.When used with the charge plate and charger, the system enables verification of ion balance and discharge times in accordance with ESD industry standards, offering correlation with traditional charged plate monitor measurements. The plate assembly features a capacitance of 15 pF ±2 pF and supports measurements up to 2 kV for both polarities, ensuring accurate simulation of real operating conditions. Designed for flexibility and ease of use, the Model 775 PVS includes SAMPLE and HOLD functions for measurements in constrained or hard-to-reach areas, as well as an analog output for data acquisition. Battery-powered and lightweight, it is ideally suited for electronics manufacturing, cleanroom applications, and any environment requiring reliable, portable electrostatic verification and compliance testing.
