The Simco‑Ion AeroBar® Ionizer Model 5685 is engineered to control static charge in mini‑environments, laminar flow hoods, and workstation applications. It features a unique aerodynamic design that delivers ionization in a localized area without disrupting laminar airflow, making it especially suitable for clean processes where airflow stability is critical. The Model 5685 utilizes Steady‑State DC ion emission combined with Simco‑Ion’s IsoStat® Technology, which provides intrinsically balanced ion output of positive and negative ions without requiring complicated feedback circuits or ongoing adjustment. The unit is available in multiple lengths to accommodate different installation needs and can be installed quickly using supplied easy‑mount clips. It is plug‑and‑play, providing balanced ionization as soon as power is applied. Ultra‑clean single‑crystal silicon or titanium emitter points are offered, allowing the ionizer to meet ISO 14644‑1 Class 3 cleanliness standards, which makes it suitable for use in sensitive semiconductor and high‑tech manufacturing environments.The AeroBar 5685 operates from a 24 VAC power supply and is capable of achieving rapid discharge performance in typical laminar airflow conditions. Its balanced ion output and steady‑state DC technology ensure effective static neutralization while maintaining low offset voltages. Typical applications include local static control over critical work surfaces, inspection stations, and other mini‑environment zones where electrostatic discharge (ESD) must be minimized.
