PMT® 8503
The PMT 8503 Handheld Particle Counter is a precise and compact instrument for detecting airborne particles ranging from 0.5 to 25.0 μm at a constant flow rate of 0.1 CFM (2.83 LPM). Designed for mobile applications and spot-check contamination monitoring, it provides a reliable solution for air quality assessment in cleanrooms, laboratories, and controlled production environments. The device is easy to configure and displays up to three user-selectable particle size channels while simultaneously recording environmental parameters such as temperature and relative humidity, enabling a comprehensive evaluation of air quality. Measurement results can be viewed directly on the display, printed, saved to a USB drive, or exported in real time using versatile interface options. The PMT 8503 also supports report generation according to ISO 14644-1, EU GMP Annex 1, and FS 209E standards. Remote operation and monitoring via a web browser allow seamless integration into existing quality assurance and monitoring processes. An integrated mass concentration mode estimates particle density in μg/m³, providing additional insight into airborne contamination levels. All PMT particle counters, including the 8503, comply with ISO 21501-4 and JIS B9921 calibration standards, ensuring high accuracy and reliability. The built-in pulse height analyzer guarantees precise particle counting while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
