PartSens 4.0 – Portable Surface Particle Counter

The PartSens 4.0 is a portable measurement system with a wireless sensor head designed for rapid and direct assessment of particulate contamination on surfaces. The PartSens+ 4.0 model extends functionality by differentiating particle size and count, including metallic and non-metallic particles as well as fibers on surfaces. Its mobile design and intuitive operation make it an ideal solution for companies that need to ensure clean product surfaces or maintain contamination-free production environments. Using ISO 14644-9 compliant oblique illumination technology, the system produces reproducible and highly accurate results. Complex sampling methods such as gas extraction, subjective techniques like microscopy, or multi-step procedures (e.g., surface rinsing with filter media followed by filter analysis) are eliminated. Measurement results, including live imaging, are immediately displayed on the device via wireless transmission. For archival purposes or future comparison, data is stored in the particle counter and can output through an external printer. The PartSens+ 4.0 model provides advanced detection of metallic and non-metallic particles and fibers, capturing their location, position, and morphology. The system is compatible with a wide range of surface materials, including stainless steel, silicon, glass, and plastics, offering a flexible, reliable, and precise solution for surface cleanliness monitoring in controlled and production-critical environments. The Partsens 4.0 is applicable for cleanroom standards such as ISO 14644-9, ISO 14644-17 and ISO 14644-5 as well. It can also be used in the Aerospace industry For PFO (Particle Fall-Out) according to ECSS-Q-ST-70-50C.
